Corrections and Retractions Policy

JIMPI: Jurnal Inovatif Manajemen Pendidikan Islam is committed to maintaining the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of the scholarly record. The journal follows the principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) in addressing errors, ethical concerns, and research misconduct identified after publication.

1. Corrections

The journal may publish corrections when errors are identified in published articles that affect their accuracy or interpretation but do not invalidate the overall findings or conclusions.

Corrections may involve errors in data presentation, methodology descriptions, author information, or other significant aspects of an article. A correction notice will clearly identify the original article and explain the changes made.

2. Retractions

Articles may be retracted when there is clear evidence of serious errors or research misconduct that undermines the reliability of their findings.

Grounds for retraction may include plagiarism, data fabrication or falsification, unethical research practices, duplicate publication, or other serious violations of publication ethics.

Retraction notices will state the reasons for retraction and remain publicly accessible. Retracted articles will generally remain available with clear retraction labels to preserve the scholarly record.

3. Expressions of Concern

The journal may issue an expression of concern when substantial questions arise regarding the reliability or ethical integrity of a published article but the available evidence is inconclusive or an investigation is ongoing.

An expression of concern will be clearly linked to the original article and may be updated or replaced by a correction, retraction, or other appropriate editorial notice following further investigation.

4. Reporting and Editorial Procedures

Authors, reviewers, readers, and other interested parties may report errors or concerns regarding published articles through the journal's official contact information.

The editorial team will evaluate the available evidence, seek clarification from the authors when appropriate, and consult relevant experts or institutions if necessary.

Editorial decisions will be made fairly and independently, following COPE guidelines and the journal's publication ethics policies.

5. Transparency and Publication Records

All corrections, retractions, and expressions of concern will be clearly identified, publicly accessible, and linked to the relevant published articles.

The journal will maintain the integrity of its publication records and ensure that readers are informed of significant changes affecting the reliability or interpretation of published research.
