Authorship and Contributorship Policy

JIMPI: Jurnal Inovatif Manajemen Pendidikan Islam is committed to ensuring fair, transparent, and responsible authorship practices in accordance with the principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE).

1. Authorship Criteria

Individuals must meet all the following criteria to qualify as authors:

  1. Make substantial contributions to the conception, design, data collection, analysis, or interpretation of the research.
  2. Participate in drafting the manuscript or critically revising its important intellectual content.
  3. Review and approve the final version of the manuscript for publication.
  4. Agree to be accountable for the accuracy and integrity of the published work.

Individuals who provide only administrative assistance, funding, or general supervision without meeting the authorship criteria should not be listed as authors.

2. Author Contributions and Responsibilities

All authors must make genuine contributions to the research and manuscript preparation. Author contributions may be described using the Contributor Roles Taxonomy (CRediT), including conceptualization, methodology, investigation, formal analysis, writing, and supervision.

The corresponding author is responsible for ensuring that all authors have approved the manuscript, agreed upon the authorship order, and consented to any changes made during the publication process.

All authors are responsible for the originality of the work, accuracy of research data, compliance with research ethics, and disclosure of potential conflicts of interest.

3. Changes in Authorship

Any addition, removal, or rearrangement of authors after manuscript submission must be supported by a clear justification and written consent from all authors.

Changes in authorship after publication will be handled through the journal's correction procedures in accordance with its editorial policies.

4. Unethical Authorship Practices

The journal prohibits gift authorship, guest authorship, ghost authorship, and the inclusion of individuals who do not meet the authorship criteria.

Individuals who contribute to the research but do not qualify for authorship may be acknowledged in the Acknowledgments section with their consent.

Generative artificial intelligence (AI) tools cannot be listed as authors. Their use must be disclosed in accordance with the journal's Generative AI Policy.

5. Authorship Disputes

Authorship disputes will be addressed by the editorial team based on available evidence and clarification from the parties involved, following COPE guidelines.

Where necessary, the journal may request an investigation by the authors' affiliated institutions. The publication process may be suspended until the dispute is resolved.
