Sexual violence prevention among adolescent santri in Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) requires an understanding of the psychological and religious factors that shape protective behavior. This study examined the direct effects of religious discipline, moral reasoning, and self-control on sexual violence prevention behavior among adolescent santri. A quantitative explanatory design was employed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM), with a census sample of 55 santri aged 12–15 years at Pondok Pesantren Nurul Hidayah Sidayu, Bandar. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire employing a four-point Likert scale. Indicator purification was conducted based on outer loadings (threshold ≥ 0.60), yielding a final model with 10 retained indicators across four constructs. All constructs met the criteria for composite reliability (rho_c > 0.70) and convergent validity (AVE > 0.50). Bootstrapping (1,000 subsamples) indicated that moral reasoning (β = 0.233; p = 0.016) and self-control (β = 0.381; p = 0.037) significantly predicted sexual violence prevention behavior, while religious discipline did not exert a significant direct effect (β = 0.416; p = 0.086). The model explained 71.9% of the variance in sexual violence prevention behavior (R² = 0.719). These findings suggest that psychosocial regulatory capacities — particularly self-control and moral reasoning — are more proximal determinants of preventive behavior than religious discipline alone. Pesantren-based prevention programs may benefit from integrating behavioral self-regulation training alongside religious instruction. Limitations include a small single-site sample and limited discriminant validity between constructs, warranting replication with larger, multi-site samples.
