Abstract

Tidak banyak orang tau bahwa pendidikan Islam mempunyai prinsip pengembangan potensi manusia untuk mendekatkan diri kepada Allah Swt. Hakikat falsafah tersebut sebenarnya sudah terwujud dalam pembelajaran yang mengedepankan fitrah dan potensi sebagai manusia serta pengelolaan ilmu pengetahuan yang diperolehnya.  Tulisan ini melihat bagaimana Filsafat Pendidikan Islam cenderung membentuk pendidikan di seluruh kondisi zaman dengan aspek holistik (menyeluruh). Tulisan ini juga melihat bagaimana metafisika dan aksiologi dan pragmatisme saling terhubung dalam mengupas Filsafat Pendidikan Islam. Untuk mencapai pembelajaran holistik dibutuhkan pemahaman Filsafat Pendidikan Islam pada konteks fenomena dan realitas sosial; dan bagaimana memadukan antara aspek potensi intelektual, emosional, dan spiritual.
