Journal History

1. Al-Musyrif: Jurnal Bimbingan dan Konseling Islam gets ISSN Print with number: 2655-5425 validated since the Vol. 2 No. 1 April , 2019, with Decree no. 0005.26555425/JI.3.1/SK.ISSN/2019.01. While ISSN online with number: 2808-2354 validated for the Vol. 4, No. 2, October 2021 with SK no. 0005.26555425/JI.3.1/SK.ISSN/2019.01.

2. Since Volume 6 No. 2 October 2023, Al-Musyrif: Jurnal Bimbingan dan Konseling Islam published eight (8) articles, previously in Vol. 4 No. 1, April 2021 until Vol 6, No. 1 April 2023 there were five (5) articles. The change from 5 articles to 8 articles because of the increasing number of submitted articles, however, the quality of the articles is maintained and increased.

3. On 1 April 2024, this journal has been accredited SINTA 4 as a scientific journal under the decree of the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education of the Republic of Indonesia number 72/E/KPT/2024 for 5 years valid from volume 4 issue 2 October 2021.

4. Since Volume 7 No. 1 April 2024, Al-Musyrif: Jurnal Bimbingan dan Konseling Islam published ten (10) articles, previously in Vol. 6 No. 2, October 2023 there were eight (8) articles. The change from 8 articles to 10 articles because of the increasing number of submitted articles, however, the quality of the articles is maintained and increased.

5. Al-Musyrif: Jurnal Bimbingan dan Konseling Islam has revised its article templates since Volume 7 No. 2 October 2024. The citation style, originally based on the Chicago Manual of Style 17th Edition (full note), has been replaced with the American Psychological Association (APA) style 7th edition, along with several other changes.

6. Since Volume 8 No. 1 April 2025, Al-Musyrif: Jurnal Bimbingan dan Konseling Islam has revised its article templates. These revisions include adding details to the article manuscript, such as the "how to cite this article" section, and other changes.

7. On 2 January 2026, this journal has been accredited SINTA 2 as a scientific journal under the Decree of the Director General of Research and Development Number 295/C/C3/KPT/2026 for 5 years valid from volume 8 issue 1, April 2025.

8. Since Volume 9 No. 2 October 2026, Al-Musyrif: Jurnal Bimbingan dan Konseling Islam has revised its article template by adding the Author Contribution Statement, Funding Statement, Data Availability Statement, and Declaration of Interests. These changes are intended to strengthen transparency, research integrity, and compliance with current scholarly publishing standards.

9. Starting from Volume 10 in 2027, Al-Musyrif: Jurnal Bimbingan dan Konseling Islam refined its Focus and Scope to strengthen its academic identity in Islamic counseling, psychospiritual approaches, culturally responsive counseling, and psychological well-being. This refinement emphasizes the integration of Islamic spirituality, indigenous knowledge, cultural contexts, and contemporary counseling practices.
