About the Journal

Afkaruna: International Journal of Islamic Studies (AIJIS) (e-ISSN: 3025-8588) is a peer-reviewed academic journal published by Universitas Islam Internasional Darullughah Wadda'wah, Pasuruan, Indonesia. The journal provides an interdisciplinary scholarly platform for the study of Islam and Muslim societies. It welcomes theoretically grounded, methodologically rigorous, and empirically informed research addressing Islamic thought, education, law, economics and business, history and civilization, Qur’anic and Hadith studies, Muslim societies, and other contemporary issues related to Islam.

Afkaruna aims to facilitate scholarly dialogue among researchers, academics, and practitioners by publishing original research that contributes to the development of Islamic Studies and enhances understanding of Islam in historical, social, intellectual, cultural, educational, economic, legal, and contemporary contexts. The journal particularly encourages interdisciplinary and comparative studies that connect Islamic scholarship with contemporary social realities and global academic discourse. Afkaruna: International Journal of Islamic Studies (AIJIS) is published three times a year, in June, October, and February.
