https://ejournal.uiidalwa.ac.id/index.php/pelita/article/view/4202

The failure of punitive approaches to youth delinquency necessitates humanistic, community-based rehabilitation models. The Pemuda Insyaf Karanganyar (KOPIKA) community offers a unique approach to rehabilitating street subcultures through interpersonal da'wah. This study analyzes the leader's communication dynamics using FIRO-B theory (Inclusion, Control, Affection). Employing an intrinsic qualitative case study design, data were collected via in-depth interviews and participant observation of members with at-risk backgrounds, followed by thematic analysis. Results reveal that behavioral transformation is driven by three mechanisms: (1) Radical Inclusion, offering unconditional acceptance to foster a sense of belonging; (2) Persuasive Control, shifting from hierarchical authority to active participation; and (3) Deep Affection, acting as an emotional anchor against recidivism. The study concludes that in collectivist contexts, fulfilling psychosocial needs (inclusion and affection) is a prerequisite for religious compliance (control). This research proposes an adaptive, empathy-based da'wah model for marginalized groups.
Mukhamad Ainul YaqinAbdurrosyid Rizi Ramadhan

https://ejournal.uiidalwa.ac.id/index.php/pelita/article/view/4667

While teacher professional competence is the core driver of educational quality, its effective management across different schooling levels remains a complex challenge. This study aims to explore and compare the strategic management of teacher professional competence development. Utilizing a qualitative multi-site comparative case study, data were collected through participant observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis at SMPN 1 Kraton (Junior High) and SDN Gerongan (Elementary). The findings reveal divergent yet effective approaches: SMPN 1 Kraton employs an external expansion strategy, utilizing formal external forums, financial incentives, and technology-assisted supervision. Conversely, SDN Gerongan focuses on internal standardization, leveraging in-house peer mentoring and symbolic recognition to build a highly disciplined professional culture. Both institutions rely heavily on proactive leadership and adequate physical infrastructure to navigate external disruptions. In conclusion, effective competence management requires aligning coaching strategies with the specific pedagogical demands of the educational tier. This research contributes an adaptive, cross-level strategic management model that institutional leaders can replicate to systematically elevate teacher professionalism in basic education.
M. https://ejournal.uiidalwa.ac.id/index.php/pelita/article/view/4281

The Umayyad Dynasty (661–750 CE) played a significant role in the history of Islamic civilization, not only through territorial expansion but also in the development of education as a foundation for civilizational progress. This study aims to analyze the contributions of education during the Umayyad era, the roles of intellectuals and scholars, and the integration of religious and worldly knowledge in shaping competent human resources. The research employs a qualitative approach with historical and comparative analysis, examining historical documents, classical manuscripts, academic literature, and previous studies on Islamic education of the period. The findings indicate that Umayyad education was structured through kuttabs, madrasas, halaqahs, bimaristans, and literary councils, covering religious sciences as well as general disciplines such as mathematics, astronomy, medicine, and philosophy. The use of Arabic as a lingua franca strengthened knowledge dissemination. These educational initiatives facilitated the advancement of Islamic civilization by establishing intellectual centers in Damascus, Basra, Kufa, and Andalusia. In conclusion, education during the Umayyad period was not merely formal instruction but a strategic foundation for Islamic civilization, integrating religious and worldly knowledge. This study contributes by highlighting education as a primary pillar of civilizational development in the classical Islamic era.
Bulqis BulqisMuhammad Fadhil Hadziq

https://ejournal.uiidalwa.ac.id/index.php/pelita/article/view/4589

Akidah Akhlak learning in the modern era demands the innovative utilization of digital media to overcome student boredom frequently caused by the dominance of conventional teaching methods. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of utilizing web-based digital media specifically using Google Sites as an interactive learning medium to boost students' learning outcomes. This quantitative research employed a pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest model. The research subjects involved 26 students of Class VIII E at MTs Al-Ittihaad Ma’arif NU 1 Purwokerto, selected through the intact group technique. Data collection relied on learning outcome test instruments, which were subsequently analyzed using descriptive statistics and the Normalized Gain (N-Gain) test. Empirical data analysis proved a significant escalation in the students' average learning outcomes, surging sharply from 45.77 in the pre-test to 89.62 in the post-test. Furthermore, the effectiveness test yielded an N-Gain coefficient of 0.81, which is classified into the "High" category. Based on these findings, it is concluded that the utilization of digital media is proven to be highly effective, valid, and feasible as a learning instrument to optimize students' conceptual understanding and academic achievements in the Akidah Akhlak subject.
Dias MaulanaLayla Mardliyah

https://ejournal.uiidalwa.ac.id/index.php/pelita/article/view/4875

The era of information disruption and massive exposure to social media trigger cognitive vulnerability and Fear of Missing Out (FoMO) among adolescents, requiring educational institutions to proactively equip students with critical thinking skills. This study aims to explore the role of peer counseling as a strategy for developing adolescent critical thinking in an Islamic educational environment. Using a qualitative approach with a case study design at SMA Future Gate Putri Boarding Bekasi, data were collected through non-participatory observation, in-depth interviews with counselors and counselees, and document studies. The results indicate that peer counseling effectively functions as cognitive scaffolding for students. Through the application of the Plus-Minus-Implication (PMI) method and the principle of Tabayyun (verification), this intervention facilitates emotional regulation through psychological equality, which is a prerequisite for achieving rational thinking. The program successfully transformed students’ reactive attitudes into proactive ones, improved cognitive independence, fostered assertiveness, and reduced dependence on digital trends. In conclusion, peer counseling has proven to be a comprehensive method that successfully integrates 21st-century skills with Islamic character values to respond to the challenges of the disruption era.
Alfiane Suci SetyasriTsabita Fathin DaniyaGaluh Andina Putri

https://ejournal.uiidalwa.ac.id/index.php/pelita/article/view/3694

Punishment is an important instrument in maintaining social order and preventing crime. In Islamic law, one form of punishment that plays a fundamental role is qisas, which is retribution for the crimes of murder and abuse. This concept is often misunderstood as a practice of violence, when in fact it embodies the principles of justice, protection of life, and social balance. Qisas is based on equality between the perpetrator and the victim, but its application is regulated by strict conditions and still allows for forgiveness and diyat compensation. This study aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the essence of qisas, including its definition, normative basis, conditions for implementation, and the wisdom contained therein. The research method used is a literature review, tracing classical and contemporary tafsir and fiqh literature, as well as related academic research. The results of the study show that qisas has a universal dimension of justice that is not limited to certain communities, and affirms the importance of protecting the rights of victims while providing opportunities for social reconciliation through forgiveness. In addition, qisas serves as a deterrent to crime and a guarantor of social stability. This study affirms that qisas is not merely a punishment, but an ethical and juridical system that reflects the main objectives of Islamic law in protecting life and upholding justice.
Muhammad Fadhil

https://ejournal.uiidalwa.ac.id/index.php/pelita/article/view/5122

Supervision in Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) is often viewed merely as an administrative function, neglecting its holistic impact on students’ learning outcomes. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of Kiai’s transformational leadership-based supervision in improving santri’s learning outcomes at Pondok Pesantren Raudhatut Thalibin Amuntai. Utilizing a qualitative approach with a descriptive case study design, data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation involving the Kiai, teachers, dorm wardens, and students. Data analysis followed the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña. The results indicate that Mu’allim KH. Ahmad Mu’thi implements holistic supervision that integrates physical monitoring and CCTV technology with a persuasive-dialogic approach. This practice reflects four dimensions of transformational leadership: idealized influence, inspirational motivation, intellectual stimulation, and individualized consideration. The impact is evident in the improvement of students’ multidimensional learning outcomes, including enhanced academic discipline, higher exam performance, values-based moral internalization, and the establishment of a continuous learning culture. In conclusion, the Kiai’s transformational supervision model successfully blends modern managerial-technological governance with traditional spiritual-charismatic authority to improve the quality of Islamic education.
Muhammad Fathan Rusyadi

Enforcing discipline in madrasahs located within pesantren environments often faces the complex challenge of dual indiscipline involving both teachers and students. This study aims to analyze in depth the role of the madrasah principal as a supervisor in handling teacher and student discipline problems at Pondok Pesantren Nurul Amin, Samarinda. Utilizing a qualitative approach with a descriptive case study design, data were gathered through in-depth interviews, limited participant observation, and documentation involving the principal, teachers, and students. Data analysis followed the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña. The results indicate that the principal executes a three-stage operational framework for disciplinary supervision: adaptive planning, direct monitoring implementation, and cross-sectoral follow-up evaluation. The intervention employs a humanistic and value-based approach through coaching, spiritual role modeling, and servant leadership. Institutional bottlenecks, particularly time constraints due to excessive administrative workloads, are effectively mitigated through collaborative governance strategies, delegating tasks to senior teachers, and strengthening coordination with dormitory management. In conclusion, a professional and collaborative supervisory role by the madrasah principal is key to fostering a sustainable culture of discipline within the pesantren ecosystem.
Kamal Agung Wijaya

https://ejournal.uiidalwa.ac.id/index.php/pelita/article/view/5124

Educational leadership within Islamic institutions is continuously challenged to be managerially effective while maintaining a profound spiritual anchor in facing modern disruptions. This study aims to analyze in depth the implementation of a coaching-based leadership model rooted in Qur’anic values to enhance teacher performance at PPTQ Nuzhatul Muttaqien, Citra Raya, Tangerang, Banten. Utilizing a qualitative approach with a case study design, field data were gathered through participant observation, in-depth interviews with the pesantren leadership and the teaching staff (asatidz), and institutional documentation. The data were analyzed interactively, encompassing data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that coaching leadership is effectively executed by harmonizing modern mentoring frameworks (the GROW model) with the internalization of prophetic virtues: shiddiq, amanah, tabligh, and fathanah. This model positions the principal as a learning leader who prioritizes humanistic personal approaches, moral exemplification, and the reinforcement of intrinsic motivation. The shura-based (deliberative) intervention successfully transforms the institutional cultivation from a rigid-directive pattern into an empowering dialogue, thereby reducing teacher resistance, strengthening pedagogical accountability, and elevating the professional performance of the faculty. In conclusion, the integration of Qur’anic theological aspects and modern management tactics creates a holistic, blessed, and sustainable human resource management paradigm within the pesantren environment.
Lutfi AldiansyahAkhmad Fauzi Hamzah

https://ejournal.uiidalwa.ac.id/index.php/pelita/article/view/4998

Indonesia is a country with abundant natural resource potential. Mining activities are the process of utilizing limited natural resources, where this activity can affect environmental damage. According to Islam, environmental damage is a direct result of irresponsible human actions towards nature. Because damaging the environment is detrimental to nature and has a negative impact on humans and other living things, Islam strictly forbids it. Islam teaches that the way humans interact with the environment reflects their level of faith and obedience. This study uses a qualitative research method using a descriptive approach. This study is a type of library research. Disaster theology according to the Prophet's hadith, especially in the problem of ecosystem damage due to mining activities in Indonesia, shows that natural disasters that occur are often related to sin and damage done by humans to the environment. The hadiths of the Prophet state that disasters such as earthquakes, floods, and various other disasters can be considered as warnings from Allah SWT for humans who violate moral norms and responsibilities in caring for the earth.
Bimba Valid FathonyMuhammad Sidiq PambudiFadhlan Ramadhani
