https://ejournal.uiidalwa.ac.id/index.php/nidhomiyyah/article/view/3113

Improvements in the quality of education in madrasahs are significantly influenced by the quality of human resources, particularly PAI teachers, who play a crucial role in shaping the character, morals, and spirituality of students. However, in practice, improving the quality of PAI teachers still faces various challenges, requiring effective and professional leadership from madrasah principals. This study aims to examine the role of madrasah principal leadership in improving the quality of PAI teachers, assess the effectiveness of implementing this role, and identify the supporting and inhibiting factors. This study uses a literature review method by analyzing various literature relevant to educational leadership and teacher quality improvement. The results show that madrasah principals perform seven main roles known by the acronym EMASLIM, namely educator, manager, administrator, supervisor, leader, innovator, and motivator. Among these roles, the functions of educator, manager, supervisor, and motivator have the most direct influence on improving the quality of PAI teachers. Effective madrasah leadership contributes significantly to improving teacher professionalism, both in terms of pedagogical, professional, social, and personality competencies. The quality of PAI teachers is influenced by internal factors, such as talent, interest, and educational background, as well as external factors, such as the availability of facilities and infrastructure and participation in training programs. Therefore, madrasah principals are expected to be able to implement innovative and sustainable leadership strategies to create a work environment conducive to teacher professional development and improve the quality of madrasah education.
Mitha Shaskila SinagaTasman Hamami

https://ejournal.uiidalwa.ac.id/index.php/nidhomiyyah/article/view/4521

This study examines the strategic management of educational marketing implemented at MAN Mempawah to enhance the institution’s competitiveness amidst digital disruption. Amidst increasing competition among educational institutions, reliance on single-channel marketing is no longer sufficient; therefore, a hybrid approach is needed. This study used a qualitative case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with the madrasah principal and public relations staff, participant observation of marketing activities, and documentation of digital assets. The findings indicate that: (1) Marketing planning involves meticulous market segmentation and the development of unique value propositions through academic and non-academic excellence, such as specialized technology programs and religious curricula; (2) Implementation strategies rely on the synergy between traditional Word of Mouth (WOM) and modern Digital Branding. While WOM, driven by alumni achievements and community-based social programs (e.g., free medical treatment), builds deep trust, digital platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube amplify this trust to a wider audience. The study concludes that the integration of “human-touch” social proof into “high-tech” digital narratives creates strong brand equity that significantly influences parental decision-making. The adaptive leadership of the madrasah principal in orchestrating these two poles is a key driver in maintaining the relevance and sustainability of madrasahs in the competitive educational landscape.
Zainal AbidinAkhmad Fauzi HamzahAhmad QusairiFadhel Mubarak

https://ejournal.uiidalwa.ac.id/index.php/nidhomiyyah/article/view/4076

This study discusses the concept of actuating in the perspective of the Qur’an and Hadith that can be used to realize effective leadership. The concept of actuating according to the Qur’an and Hadith does not merely rely on the success of the goal, but prioritizes character and morals in achieving that goal. This study uses a literature review method by understanding and analyzing literature relevant to the research conducted. The data sources come from books, academic books, and journal articles. Actuating in the Qur’an is described in several verses that have the meaning of good news, warnings, calls, and teachings. Meanwhile, actuating as explained by the Prophet Muhammad SAW is prioritizing the values of unity, clarity of direction and tasks, and corrective actions in management implementation. Effective leadership is based on the suitability of the chosen leadership to the situation and conditions. The implementation of actuating in effective leadership will ensure that every individual in an educational institution understands their role and contributes maximally in accordance with Islamic values. Thus, the goal of actuating is not only to achieve organizational efficiency and effectiveness, but also to ensure that every action is in accordance with Islamic law and brings benefits to the people.
Nila Nabilatul RizqiyaKojin KojinNur Efendi

https://ejournal.uiidalwa.ac.id/index.php/nidhomiyyah/article/view/4286

This study investigates the management of foreign language development extracurricular activities at Al-Utsmani Islamic Senior High School by employing George R. Terry’s management framework. The issue addressed in this research is the absence of a well-documented and integrated management model covering planning, organizing, actuating, and evaluating within foreign language extracurricular programs. The research aims to analyze how these managerial functions are implemented in the Foreign Language Development Institute to improve students linguistic competence and overall educational quality. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with data collected through interviews, observations, and documentation involving the vice principal for student affairs, Foreign Language Development Institute mentors, and participating students. The findings show that planning is carried out through weekly meetings, program formulation, and the determination of learning objectives. Organizing is reflected in the establishment of organizational structures, task division, and resource allocation. Actuating is implemented through tiered language training, collaborative learning, presentations, and international seminars. Evaluation is conducted through oral and written tests to measure students’ vocabulary mastery, sentence structure, and speaking performance. The study concludes that integrated management of all four functions significantly enhances students’ foreign language skills and supports the improvement of school quality.
Wardatul AsfiyahFathoni ArifandiSofiyatut Dananiseh

https://ejournal.uiidalwa.ac.id/index.php/nidhomiyyah/article/view/4376

The transformation of educational administrative services has become a crucial aspect in developing a responsive, efficient, and professional education system in the digital era. This study aims to describe the role of the school principal in accelerating educational administrative services through Sergiovanni’s Five Forces supervision model at SMA Negeri 15 Takengon. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, using data collection techniques such as in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and documentation. The findings indicate that the principal implements all five supervisory forces in a synergistic manner: technical force through the use of digital applications and standardized operating procedures; human force through empathetic and participatory communication; educational force through staff training and competency development; symbolic force through exemplary leadership and the embodiment of ethical values; and cultural force through the reinforcement of a collaborative and values-based work culture. The implementation of these five forces not only enhances the efficiency of administrative services but also fosters a reflective, loyal, and character-driven organizational culture. The main contribution of this study lies in offering a contextual and applicable principal supervision model to accelerate the quality of administrative services in secondary schools, particularly in regions with limited resources.
Tajul FazariSahdan Sahdan

https://ejournal.uiidalwa.ac.id/index.php/nidhomiyyah/article/view/3591

The research aims to analyze how environmental values are integrated into pesantren management and how this contributes to cultivating ecological awareness among students. A qualitative case study approach was employed, involving in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and document analysis. Data were analyzed using Miles and Huberman’s interactive model, consisting of data reduction, display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that eco-pesantren management is manifested through the alignment of institutional policies, spiritual guidance, and structured environmental programs. Each division holds ecological responsibilities, supported by monitoring mechanisms and routine evaluations. Leadership plays a central role in reinforcing environmental values through participatory policies and modeling behavior. Active student engagement in daily sanitation routines fosters environmental literacy, spiritual discipline, and sustainable behavior. Challenges include limited green space and lack of environmental education training among teachers. This study demonstrates that Hifzul Bī’ah can be systematically operationalized within Islamic education to promote sustainable culture. It contributes to the discourse on Islamic educational management and offers a model for integrating faith-based values in environmental sustainability initiatives.
Sulaeman SulaemanFerdinan FerdinanAbd. https://ejournal.uiidalwa.ac.id/index.php/nidhomiyyah/article/view/4424

The decline of moral values among students represents a serious challenge in Indonesian education, requiring systematic and well-managed learning approaches as a strategic response. This study aims to examine and analyze the management of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning in shaping students’ moderate character at SMA Negeri 1 Garut. Employing a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study design, data were collected through semi-structured interviews, observations, and documentation involving teachers and students. Data analysis followed the Miles and Huberman model, encompassing data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that PAI learning management is implemented systematically based on four core management functions: planning, organizing, implementing, and supervising. Learning planning is carried out through the formulation of learning objectives, learning contracts, and instructional modules aligned with learning outcomes. Learning organization supports an inclusive, active, and meaningful learning environment through the management of learning activities, facilities, and the school environment as learning resources. The implementation of learning emphasizes a Student-Centered Learning approach through positive habituation practices, short sermons (kultum), student presentations, and demonstration-based instruction that actively engage students. Learning supervision is conducted through formative and summative assessments that evaluate cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains. Overall, effective PAI learning management contributes to the internalization of moderate character values, including tolerance, anti-violence attitudes, national commitment, and cultural accommodation, which are reflected in students’ attitudes and daily behavior within the school environment.
Fitriani FitrianiYufi Mohammad NasrullahFiqra Muhamad Nazib

https://ejournal.uiidalwa.ac.id/index.php/nidhomiyyah/article/view/4402

The epistemological dichotomy between religious knowledge (turāth) and modern science remains a fundamental obstacle for Islamic educational institutions in responding to the global climate crisis (planetary crisis). Pesantren are often trapped in “green” symbolism without comprehensive scientific integration. This study aims to reconstruct a transdisciplinary curriculum management model in pesantren with a global ecotheological perspective as an integrative solution. Employing library research with a qualitative–philosophical approach, this study analyzes authoritative literature related to Basarab Nicolescu’s theory of transdisciplinarity, Susan M. Drake’s integrative curriculum management, and the concept of Islamic ecotheology. The findings indicate that the construction of transdisciplinary curriculum management is built upon ecotheology as a core value that dissolves disciplinary boundaries. From a managerial perspective, this model requires: (1) a shift in curriculum design from subject-based to issue-based learning; (2) restructuring of organizational management through cross-disciplinary team teaching; (3) implementation of learning based on a living laboratory approach; and (4) authentic evaluation based on ecological behavior (eco-behavior). The implication of this construction is the emergence of a “Green Khalifah” graduate profile, possessing global scientific competence alongside strong spiritual roots as guardians of environmental sustainability.
M.
