Community Service activity aims to provide training on developing teaching modules for the Merdeka Curriculum in the Arabic language subject to enhance teachers' Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS), considering the numerous challenges faced by educators, particularly in adapting to the new curriculum. The applied methods are as follows: (1) Counseling, using techniques such as lectures, Q&A, and discussions on teaching module development; (2) Training, employing techniques like observing models, guiding, and mentoring teachers as they practice composing Arabic language modules according to their assigned duties; and (3) Demonstration, involving techniques such as presentations, simulations, and reflection on the training activities. The results indicate an increase in teachers' professionalism in designing learning tools and a more mature understanding of the Merdeka Curriculum system, reflected in the successful execution of the counseling and mentoring sessions which yielded ready-to-use draft teaching modules.

Model Edukasi Literasi Digital Berbasis Komunikasi Interpersonal: Strategi Peningkatan Resiliensi Masyarakat Desa terhadap Hoaks

Rural communities in Lumbang District, Probolinggo, face high vulnerability to the spread of hoaxes due to limited access to verified information and trust-based communication patterns. The focus of this community service was to design and implement a digital literacy education model specifically based on an interpersonal communication approach to build collective resilience. The method used was Participatory Action Research, where the intervention was delivered through workshops modified into dialogical sessions, focused group discussions, and case studies, replacing one-way lecture methods. The results showed the model's significant effectiveness, evidenced by the increase in the average score of participants' verification skills from 35.4 in the pre-test to 78.2 in the post-test. The number of participants categorized as capable of verification also increased from 25.0% to 85.0%. This intervention proves that a dialogical, interpersonal approach is a key strategy for enhancing digital resilience in rural communities.

Penguatan Ibadah Shalat Berbasis Partisipatif di Desa Gendro Kecamatan Tutur Kabupaten Pasuruan Melalui Kolaborasi Pengabdi Masyarakat, Muslimat dan Fatayat

This study describes a participatory community service activity aimed at strengthening the understanding and practice of prayer in Gendro Village, Tutur District, Pasuruan Regency through collaboration between community service workers, Muslimat, and Fatayat. This activity was motivated by the still diverse levels of religious understanding of the community, including converts, so that a simple, applicable, and sustainable coaching approach was needed. The method used was Participatory Action Research (PAR) which actively involved the community in all stages of the activity, starting from observation, material presentation, prayer practice, question and answer, monitoring, to evaluation and reflection. The results of the activity showed a significant increase in the understanding of the pillars, readings, and movements of prayer, as well as increased skills in practicing worship in a more orderly and according to guidance. In addition, there was also a strengthening of spiritual awareness and motivation for worship in the community, reflected in increased participation in religious activities at the mosque and the Islamic study group. Collaboration with Muslimat and Fatayat has proven effective as a community-based da'wah agent that is able to reach the community in a closer and more humane manner. Overall, this activity has a positive impact in forming a society that is more religious, independent in worship, and has a culture of sustainable religious development.

Pendampingan Public Speaking Berbasis 3P (Preparation, Point, Performance) untuk Meningkatkan Kepercayaan Diri Siswa Madrasah Aliyah

Public communication proficiency is a pivotal competency in the digital era; however, many madrasah students remain constrained by communication apprehension. This community service program aims to enhance students' self-confidence and oratory skills at MA Miftahul Falah through the 3P model (Preparation, Point, Performance). Utilizing Participatory Action Research (PAR), the initiative provided intensive training and clinical mentoring for 30 student leaders from January to February 2026. The results demonstrate a significant transformation: students' self-confidence increased by 70%, systematic messaging ability reached 70%, and technical performance mastery (vocal and gesture) surged to 75%. As a concrete output, the program produced a manual titled "Speak Up & Stand Out: Jago Public Speaking Tanpa Grogi" for independent practice. Overall, the 3P model serves as an integrative solution to cultivate young orators who are confident, digitally savvy, and grounded in the values of akhlakul karimah.

Pelatihan Standardisasi Juru Sembelih Halal (Juleha) Berbasis Fikih dan Animal Welfare

Community-based qurban slaughtering practices still face challenges related to halal slaughter competency, animal welfare, and carcass hygiene. This community service program aims to improve participants' knowledge and skills through training in Islamic jurisprudence-based halal slaughtering, animal welfare, and hygienic carcass management. The program involved 65 participants consisting of mosque administrators, neighborhood qurban committees, and senior Dalwa students. The program evaluation approach utilized a pretest–posttest design, practical simulations, and observation of participant skills. Results showed an increase in the average knowledge score from 48.50 to 86.20 after training (p < 0.001). Ninety-two percent of participants were able to apply minimal-stress animal handling techniques, and 88% demonstrated humane animal restraint practices. The hanging skinning method and the use of a mechanical bone saw also supported more hygienic and efficient carcass handling. This program effectively strengthened safer, more humane, and more hygienic communal qurban management practices.

This community service program aimed to strengthen students’ soft skills and moral character through Islamic-based educational seminars at SMPN 2 Sunan Drajat. The activity addressed students’ limited understanding of self-development, future planning, discipline, and social responsibility in the digital era. The program employed interactive seminar methods, Islamic motivational approaches, discussions, and self-reflection assignments. Seminar materials included self-potential recognition, soft skill development, future planning, and moral character building. The results showed increased student participation and improved understanding of communication skills, discipline, responsibility, and positive moral values. Students were also able to identify their potential and formulate future goals and self-development plans. Overall, the activity contributed to strengthening students’ character, social awareness, and readiness to face future challenges in the school and pesantren environment.

Dynamics of Attitude Change and Creative Writing Ability of Santri Mutawassith Through Mentoring Based on the Book Husnul Isgho’ Fi Darsil Insya’

This applied community service program examined attitude changes and creative Arabic writing ability (maharah kitabah) among twenty santri mutawassith at Pondok Pesantren Dalwa, East Java, who participated in a twenty-day intensive mentoring program based on the book Husnul Isgho' fi Darsil Insya'. Despite foundational Nahwu knowledge, students initially struggled with imla' accuracy, limited vocabulary, and complex sentences. Program evaluation through interviews, observations, portfolios, and field notes revealed a significant positive attitude shift: from 70% viewing writing as difficult or boring to 85% feeling confident and 75% finding writing easier and more enjoyable post-program. Writing improvement occurred in three progressive phases: mastering imla' and basic sentences, developing paragraphs with varied rhetorical styles (uslub qashr, ithnab, musawah), and independent creative writing with peer correction. Supporting factors included the book's eclectic method, modern vocabulary, personal mentoring, and the Arabic-speaking pesantren environment. Constraints were Arabic instructions and limited time. The program concludes that intensive book-based mentoring accelerates both technical writing skills and self-efficacy, recommending a sustainable writing club and peer-tutor training.

Permainan Kertas Origami untuk Meningkatkan Penguasaan Kosakata Bahasa Arab Siswa Kelas V SDN Parasrejo 2 Pasuruan

This community service program aimed to improve fifth-grade students’ mastery of Arabic vocabulary, particularly colours and numbers, through origami paper games at SDN Parasrejo 2 Pasuruan. The activity was conducted on 21 September 2025 and involved 25 students through three stages: preparation, implementation, and evaluation. The learning activities included vocabulary introduction, pronunciation practice, matching coloured origami paper with Arabic word cards, and arranging origami pieces according to numerical order. Evaluation was conducted using pre-tests, post-tests, and observation sheets. The results showed that the students’ average vocabulary score increased from 65 in the pre-test to 85 in the post-test, representing a 20-point improvement. Students’ motivation, confidence in answering questions, and active participation also improved during the activity. Origami paper helped students associate Arabic words with colours, quantities, and concrete activities through visual, verbal, and kinaesthetic experiences. Therefore, origami paper games can serve as an affordable, engaging, and practical medium for Arabic vocabulary learning in elementary schools.

Sukapura Go Digital: Pemberdayaan UMKM, Kelompok Tani, dan Pelaku Wisata Melalui Pelatihan Digital Marketing dan Konten Kreatif di Desa Ngepung, Kec.Sukapura Kabupaten Probolinggo

Sukapura Village, Probolinggo Regency, holds significant economic potential as a buffer zone for Mount Bromo tourism; however, this potential remains underutilized due to low digital literacy among residents, weak UMKM product branding, and the lack of integration between the agricultural, micro-enterprise, and tourism sectors in a digital economic chain. The community service program "Sukapura Go Digital" was designed to address these challenges through a participatory approach combining training and mentoring activities. The program was implemented in September 2025 at Masjid Barakah, Ngepung Village, Sukapura, involving 38 participants from three target groups: 17 UMKM actors, 14 farmer group members, and 7 tourism agents/guides. Implementation methods included interactive lectures, demonstrations, hands-on practice, personal mentoring, and evaluation. Results indicate that 84% of participants were able to upload content on Instagram, 79% mastered WhatsApp Business features, and 73% understood basic digital branding concepts. The program successfully facilitated the creation of 22 business Instagram accounts, 15 WhatsApp Business accounts, 7 business locations on Google Maps, and 5 marketplace accounts. Cross-sector collaboration also began to emerge, evidenced by supply partnerships between farmers and UMKM actors, as well as the promotion of local products by tourism agents. This program demonstrates that community-based village digitalization can serve as an effective strategy for strengthening local economies and building a sustainable connected economic ecosystem.

IKPM Sudan sebagai Community of Practice: Perspektif Teori Etienne Wenger tentang Pembelajaran Sepanjang Hayat di Kalangan Alumni Gontor

This study aims to analyze how the Sudan Branch of the Modern Gontor Family Association (Ikatan Keluarga Pondok Modern [IKPM]) fosters lifelong learning through Etienne Wenger's Community of Practice perspective. The research employed a qualitative approach using a case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and document analysis, and were analyzed using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña. The findings reveal that IKPM Sudan embodies the four core characteristics of a Community of Practice. Mutual engagement is reflected in members' active participation in planning, implementing, and evaluating organizational programs, thereby promoting collaborative learning. Joint enterprise is demonstrated through a shared vision of alumni development by integrating academic, social, spiritual, and international networking activities. Shared repertoire is manifested in a sustained learning culture, literacy traditions, the publication of the Sintesa Bulletin, and systematic knowledge documentation passed on across generations. These practices collectively foster learning and identity, as evidenced by members' transformation into leaders, writers, moderators, and resource persons. This study implies that Islamic boarding school alumni organizations can be developed as non-formal educational ecosystems that support lifelong learning, strengthen alumni identity, and serve as a Community of Practice-based model for alumni development in Islamic educational institutions at both national and international levels.

Pembentukan Komunitas “Gema Hijrah” (Generasi Muda Musholla Hijrotul Munawarah) sebagai Model Pemberdayaan Pemuda dalam Memakmurkan Musholla

The musholla (Islamic prayer room) serves as a strategic center for worship, religious education, and community empowerment. However, limited youth participation has hindered its potential to function as a sustainable center for youth development. This community service program aimed to establish GEMA HIJRAH (Generasi Muda Musholla Hijrotul Munawarah) as a youth empowerment model for revitalizing the musholla through organizational strengthening and the development of a sustainable work program. The program employed a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach consisting of needs assessment, coordination with the musholla management, youth socialization, organizational establishment, organizational structuring, work program development, mentoring, and monitoring and evaluation. The program resulted in the establishment of GEMA HIJRAH with a structured organizational governance system and a 2026–2028 work program covering organizational development, religious activities, public relations and publication, facilities management, and administration and finance. The initiative increased youth participation in religious and community activities and produced the GEMA Model (Gathering, Empowering, Mobilizing, and Advancing) as a replicable framework for youth empowerment in community-based religious institutions.

Penguatan Karakter Kepemimpinan Siswa melalui Game Edukasi di SDN Susukanrejo 1 Pasuruan

Strengthening leadership character from the elementary school level is important for developing students’ self-confidence, teamwork, communication, responsibility, and problem-solving skills. However, character development requires activities that provide students with opportunities to directly experience and practice leadership values. This community service program aimed to strengthen the leadership character of students at SDN Susukanrejo 1 Pasuruan through active, participatory, and experience-based educational games. The program was conducted in one day through three main stages: preparation, implementation, and evaluation. The implementation stage consisted of a leadership orientation, a series of educational games—Tower Challenge, Puzzle Strategy, Leader Rotation Game, and Communication Relay—and guided reflection. Evaluation was conducted through behavioral observation, simple assessments before and after the activities, and classroom teacher reflection, focusing on self-confidence, teamwork, communication, and responsibility. The results showed improvements in all evaluated aspects. Self-confidence increased from 48% to 82%, teamwork from 55% to 88%, communication from 50% to 79%, and responsibility from 46% to 85%. The greatest improvement was found in responsibility, with an increase of 39 percentage points. During the activities, students also demonstrated active involvement in giving instructions, dividing roles, developing strategies, communicating, and completing group tasks. These findings indicate that educational games can serve as an alternative activity that provides concrete experiences for elementary students to practice leadership values. Similar programs may be implemented periodically and integrated into classroom learning and school character-development activities.

Children’s literacy activities in community reading centers need to be developed through learning approaches that encourage active participation, reading comprehension, creativity, and self-expression. This community service program aimed to implement participatory literacy learning based on stories and children’s creativity through collaboration between TBM Saudara Pustaka and the Mahasiswa Membangun Desa program. The activity was conducted in Karangduren Village, Pakisaji District, Malang Regency, using a participatory approach involving story reading, summarizing, presentation of reading results, creative projects, monologue performances, waste management literacy, reflection, and evaluation. The results showed that the learning activities provided opportunities for children to actively engage in understanding texts, expressing ideas, producing creative work, and demonstrating their understanding through creative activities. Collaboration between the community reading center and university students also strengthened the implementation of interactive and enjoyable literacy activities. This activity demonstrates that story-based and creativity-oriented literacy learning can serve as a potential participatory approach for sustainable community literacy development.
