The growing phenomenon of teenage gang fights in Padang has become an urgent social problem that requires character education intervention. This education focuses on preventive intervention through an approach based on Islamic values and nationalism. The goal is to improve students’ self-control and sense of national pride through discussion activities, focus group discussions (FGDs), communal worship, and team-building exercises. The method used is Participatory Action Research (PAR), which includes planning, implementation, and evaluation stages. The results of the community service program showed significant changes: 80% of participants reported an improvement in their self-control to avoid gang fights, and 70% of participants had a better understanding of national values. By strengthening awareness of unity and the internalization of nationalist values, this integrative approach has proven to be a relevant model for community service to address youth gang fights in various regions.

Food security is the responsibility of every community to support government programs to ensure a safe, diverse, nutritious, and affordable food supply. Through teaching assistance activities, efforts to raise awareness of the importance of food security for students and teachers are carried out through educational activities such as planting cooking ingredients, namely chili plants, in vacant land around the schoolyard. This chili planting program aims to improve food security and foster an entrepreneurial spirit among teachers and students. The research method used in this community service activity utilizes a participatory approach and empowers the school community. This community service activity involves a team consisting of teaching assistants, teachers, and all students. The results of this activity demonstrate an increased sense of cooperation within the school, a growing understanding of plant care, a heightened awareness of food security, and a commitment to utilizing the school environment for the common good. This activity also builds awareness among elementary school students about maintaining sustainable food security.

Qurban animal slaughter requires not only compliance with Islamic jurisprudential provisions but also technical competence encompassing food safety, animal health, product integrity, halal assurance, animal welfare, and post-slaughter handling. This community service program aimed to improve the knowledge and practical skills of students and administrators of Pesantren Darullughah Wadda'wah Pasuruan in conducting halal slaughter in accordance with Islamic jurisprudence and the Safe, Healthy, Wholesome, and Halal (ASUH) standards. The two-day program involved 35 participants, consisting of 25 male students and 10 pesantren administrators. The program comprised needs identification, lectures and interactive discussions, demonstrations, hands-on practice, and evaluation through pre-test, post-test, and practical skills observation. The evaluation results showed that the participants' mean knowledge score increased from 42.3 in the pre-test to 82.7 in the post-test, representing a gain of 40.4 points. In the practical skills assessment, 28 participants (80%) achieved a good category, six participants (17.1%) were classified as adequate, and one participant (2.9%) was classified as poor. Improvements were observed across all evaluated aspects, particularly in understanding halal slaughter requirements and ASUH standards. The program indicates that the integration of theoretical instruction, demonstration, and hands-on practice can strengthen both Islamic jurisprudential understanding and technical skills related to animal handling, slaughtering procedures, hygiene, and post-slaughter management. The activity also highlights the potential of pesantren as a strategic base for strengthening halal slaughter literacy and skills, which can be further developed through advanced training and facilitation of formal halal slaughterer certification.

Village-level MSMEs have economic potential that can be developed by utilizing community assets. However, product marketing is still limited because there is no structured promotional media available. This activity aims to identify MSME potential and assist in marketing through a product catalog using the Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach in Ngepel Hamlet, Sempu Village, Ponorogo. The methods used include observation, data collection, communication with business actors, documentation, as well as the stages of discovery, dream, design, and destiny. The results show that there are eight MSMEs with various products, and seven of them were included in a printed catalog spanning nine pages. The catalog was distributed through BUMDes and the Village Hall to broaden product awareness. The assistance helps provide marketing media, organize product information, and boost MSMEs' confidence in expanding their market.

The high volume of organic waste, particularly pineapple peels, is often poorly managed and accumulates as refuse. Concurrently, Vocational High Schools (SMKs) are required to equip students with practical, environmentally conscious skills. This community service activity aimed to educate and train vocational students to process pineapple peel waste into valuable eco-enzymes. The partner for this activity was SMK-SMTI Pontianak, involving 25 student participants. The implementation method consisted of three main stages: socialization of organic waste management theory, demonstration of the eco-enzyme fermentation process using a standard formula, and mentoring during the participants' independent practice. The results of this training produced a fermented liquid, which has potential to be used as a natural floor cleaner and liquid fertilizer within the school environment. The training in eco-enzyme production from pineapple peels is expected to increase students' ecological awareness, reduces the school's organic waste burden, and generates green chemistry-based multipurpose products.

Plastic bottle waste is an environmental problem that continues to increase along with rising community consumption, while public awareness of recycling remains low. This community service program, implemented through a service learning approach, aims to reduce the volume of plastic bottle waste in Muara Basung Village while fostering community creativity and mutual cooperation (gotong royong) in welcoming the 81st Indonesian Independence Day. The method included socialization, collection and processing training, and hands-on construction of an inverted U-shaped decorative gate installed on the village's main road. Results show the program successfully mobilized cross-generational participation from 350 elementary and 120 junior high school students, PKK members, and residents; collected and processed approximately 1,200 used plastic bottles; and produced a gate that now serves as both a decorative icon for the independence celebration and an ongoing environmental education medium, indicating that the program's objectives were achieved.

TPST 3R Sumber Sehat in Malang Regency faced critical issues of uncontrolled waste accumulation due to the absence of shredding machinery and limited adoption of digital technology in daily operations. This community service program targeted TPST workers and operators as the primary subjects of transformation. The objective was to implement an IoT-integrated waste shredder equipped with capacity detection and remote control features to achieve effective, safe, and sustainable waste management. The method employed encompassed design, fabrication, installation, commissioning, and participatory technology transfer training. Results demonstrated a 70% reduction in waste volume, 40% operational cost savings, deployment of one IoT system operating an average of four times daily, and enhanced competency of three operators capable of independently managing the system.

Reading ability is a fundamental component of elementary education; however, the availability of literacy facilities does not necessarily ensure their optimal use. This community service program aimed to optimize school assets through the Jendela Baca Program with TATAKAN (Library Organization) and to examine changes in students’ interest and participation in reading activities. The program employed the Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach through the stages of Discovery, Dream, Design, Define, and Destiny. The activities involved seven students and one teacher at SDN Sempu, Ponorogo Regency. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation and analyzed descriptively using qualitative analysis and technique triangulation. The results showed that mobilizing existing assets, including the library, book collections, teachers, students, and established reading habits, transformed the library into a more organized, comfortable, attractive, and accessible literacy space. Following the program, students demonstrated greater interest in selecting and reading books, increased participation in literacy activities, and improved reading confidence among several participants. These findings indicate that optimizing internal school assets through the ABCD approach can serve as a contextual strategy for strengthening the literacy environment. Program sustainability requires regular reading habits, continued teacher assistance, and consistent participation of the school community in maintaining and utilizing the library.

This community service program was implemented based on problems at Darul Ulum Al-Fatah Ogoamas Islamic Boarding School, Donggala Regency, namely a learning process dominated by lecture methods, resulting in suboptimal active participation and students’ confidence in expressing opinions. Character development had been conducted through activities, but it was not supported by structured mentoring and a documented mechanism for evaluating character development. It aimed to optimize learning and strengthen students’ character through habituation-based mentoring. It employed a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach involving administrators, teachers, and students in planning, implementation, and evaluation. Activities included interactive lectures, group discussions, practice, reflection, and positive behavior habituation. Evaluation was conducted through observation, interviews, documentation, and character observation sheets. Results indicated increased learning participation, discipline, responsibility, cooperation, communication skills, and religious character. The average achievement was 95.97%, categorized as very good. The program provides a basis for sustainable mentoring development within the boarding school.

BUMDes Laksana Berkah in Pamulihan Village has business development potential but still faces several challenges, including low levels of community understanding and involvement, limited marketing and human resource capacity, and dependence on income from cooperation with the Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit (Satuan Pelayanan Pemenuhan Gizi/SPPG). This community service activity aimed to map the internal and external conditions of BUMDes and formulate development strategies toward business independence. The method employed a participatory qualitative approach, with data collected through field observations and Focus Group Discussions (FGD) involving BUMDes managers and relevant stakeholders. The data were analyzed through community mapping, including actor and problem mapping to identify conditions and relationships among stakeholders, mind mapping to identify business potentials and challenges, and Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats (SWOT) analysis to formulate BUMDes development strategies. The results showed that BUMDes has strengths in social capital, teamwork, institutional support, and business networks, but still faces weaknesses in marketing, community involvement, and human resource capacity. The resulting strategies include marketing digitalization, strengthening partnerships, developing businesses based on local potential, and diversifying revenue sources to enhance BUMDes independence and sustainability.
